I work using the arts, play and active imagination techniques. This enables us to approach and explore difficult feelings and issues under the safety of metaphor and imagery.    (You do not need to be creative or artistic.)

"Katrina gave me the tools to think outside of the box when I was at crossroads in my mind causing my anxieties to feel overwhelming."

I have specialist training in a sensori-motor approach to trauma which enables me to pace the work so that it is tolerable for you.  I will also help you to develop an awareness and diminishment of bodily sensations.

It does not matter if you cannot attribute your anxiety to a particular event or experience.  If you do however experience anxiety linked to difficult or traumatic events, it may reassure you to know that I have worked with survivors of rape, sexual assault, racial harassment, violent assault, war and persecution, medical negligence, kidnap of children, burglary, armed robbery, road traffic accidents, religious cults, childhood emotional, physical and sexual abuse, childhood neglect, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, bereavement, bullying, fraud and predatory behaviour.

I am also an Anxiety UK Approved Therapist providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I am subject to Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of my professional qualifications, supervision, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by my registered governing body.
